Abstract
The new species Echinotiara arabica is described and referred to the family Stomopneustidae Meissner, 1903. It is compared with other Liassic species of “Stomechinus” which are considered to be congeneric with it, and its relationships with the genera Stomechinus, Psephechinus and Jeannetia are discussed.
